Discovered a bad bearing in the pulley for the mechanical fan. Bearing is pressed into the AC bracket. Supposedly it is non-serviceable and will have to buy the whole bracket at $125. Part #53006548
any chance u can press it out and machine it so u can use replaceable bearings on it?

I recall seeing a thread recently on here, I don't recall where, or I would post a link...but, I believe that bearing is non-serviceable, it's part of the shaft, although I do recall someone saying they were able to send it off to someone to have it rebuilt. Sounds like a lot of trouble to go through when you could just get the part...

Replaced the rear main seal over the weekend. That little bastard is under there somewhere...
Took the opportunity to clean up the oil pan.
Prepped for re-assembly. Found a great tip on YouTube. Used some cord/string to hold the gasket in place. Once you get it in place, get a couple bolts started and then cut the strings and remove.
A closer look.
All cleaned up and ready for the pan.
It's a pain in the *** to do but overall not a very difficult job technically. Just be ready to get covered in oil and grime.
