they are always "frozen" to the shaft. That nut is on there at like 175 ft-lbs +
You need a breaker bar, and a lonnnng cheater pipe to get it off. Once the nut is loose leave the nut on the shaft a few threads when you put the puller on the pitman arm so it doesn't fly across the parking lot and kill babies when it lets go.

Its not the nut. Its the pitman arm itself. The nuts were no match for the impact.
I beat it with a mini sledge. I broke a pitman arm puller. I just didn't put heat on it. All I had was a propane torch. I could probably borrow a map torch from a buddy. Wouldn't it ruin the steering box though?

Look at the link on pics 4 and 5 I think. When I was looking at quarter panel guards last night, I read that JCR makes them for XJ's with the cut and folded flares.

That's what I did for two hours. Its sitting soaked in PB for now. I'll go at it again next time I'm over there. I've got a lot of pitman arms to come off but this one has been a real pain. (Obviously or it would be off already)

I want to be able to secure the trunk better then that when rolling doorless. I'm also that guy on the trail that brings his garage. I'm the same guy on the trail that hits **** way to hard and fast(giggity). So I basically want something bullet proof(not literally)
Nope.... I'll think about it. Nope. Actually I used to. The straps either break or the items slips out. I used to really strap it down too.

OK so I got rear ended today and the bumper and hatch are damaged. I just can't figure out which bumper to replace it with though. I was thinking nates4x4, but what are some good rear bumpers?
