Woke up to a flat tire. Tires had 30 miles on them. Good ole road hazard paid off. (Was riding back roads yesterday. Tiny piece of wood through tire wall.)

I had the same issue with mine, I had a 6ft pipe on the side of the pan pushing to break it loose, used multiple screwdrivers and hammers, finally went and bought a huge pry bar and went to town. I bent the hell out of the lip on the pan but finally got it off.

Then my seal wouldnt budge, loosened all but 1 bearing cap and still had to use extreme force getting it out.

That being said, I now know tips and tricks from that hell job and will be doing my other cherokee pan in a month or so lol.

Finally got the e torx bolt out for the bellhousing had to go one size bigger, the head was slightly rounded

replaced the starter yesterday, started to fail, works great now! lol

another note: the starter after 18 years, was chrysler original... pretty neat to see how long those OEM's hold up..

also replaced the "knee panel" today, wifey helped me, it was cracked to hell

I bought them on eBay the seller told me he had a crate full of them later on when I log on eBay I'll send u his info they where cheap too like 8 bucks with shipping for the pair. They where chrome but I painted mine black. They're very easy to install too.
