And brackets would be better
Wouldn't attaching the skid to the pan be a bad idea..? if it takes a hit it's gonna transfer all of the energy to the pan...

I had a spot of rust around the gas cap, so, I fixed it. Used rustoleum automotive primer and automotive enamel paint. Turn out pretty good. I wound up painting the whole quarter panel from that little bump line down (don't know what to call it lol). Took tons of paint (about 2 and a half cans after a little trial and error) and I found it's best to get close and put on thick coats, just don't let it run. It had a shinier finish that way.

Yup that fresh powder coat within at least a inch of where you are going to weld will have to be ground off

Changed the turn signal relay on my 2000 XJ. A bit of a pain. I'd much rather be under the hood.

For 2000 XJ owners: the relay that O'Reilly sold me was definitely the closest to OEM that they had (Littelfuse 727). It is the wrong relay. The signals work but, only the left flasher comes on. I can turn the right turn signal on and it works but, that's not exactly a fix. Try to get the Mopar brand if you can. But don't get the one I got.

Not what I've done but what I'm trying to do, I'm looking for the up country rear leaf springs, does anybody know of an aftermarket part number for these? I have the factory 52002392 but can't get a cross for aftermarket so I can order them.

Touched up some paint on my rusted out rockers and put in a order for an aresfab rear cut and fold bumper. Also my new grille, turn signals, tcase drop kit and wind fairing are on there way. Gonna be a good couple of days
