nah man. your simply going to hide whatever problem currently exists. i mean, you can throw a bandaid on there if ya want- your jeep an all- but maybe checking over the coolant system and making sure that all air/fuel/spark components are good to go wouldn't hurt.

id be willing to bet that the tstat, water pump and coolant ARENT new?

flushed the system lately?

running a WAI?

Take it in for the recall. Any dealership will do it.

Nope. They're required by law to do recall fixes.

I don't think it was a recall - wasn't it just a TSB?

Yeah but free TSB IIRC. I remember guys reporting having it done last year for free in other threads.

Spent yesterday finishing my cowl intake. Then had more afternoon light left, went down to Home Depot, bought some 1" square tubing and mocked up some hood spacers. What did you do to your Cherokee today?-image-2402613334.jpg What did you do to your Cherokee today?-image-588086116.jpg What did you do to your Cherokee today?-image-424210350.jpg

The plastic cowl cover is missing and has been since last year. I had a boo boo where my hood flew up and kissed the windshield. Thus bending my hood slightly which rubbed and cracked any new cowl cover installed when opening the hood. With the hood spaced I can fit one now! It's been a good 11 months without windshield wiper fluid squirrels...rough winter last year. Haha
