Two weeks ago AC compressor pulley bearings started making a lot of noise. I needed the Jeep in driving condition so I went ahead and had an AC shop pull the freon off and then I changed the compressor yesterday.
I pulled the pulley off, removed the bearing, and found the source of the noise. Blow out bearing.
I am going to get a new bearing today and press it back in and put it back together.
Im going to put the old compressor up on CL instead of getting my $10 core charge back.

Picked her up from the shop yesterday. New compressor and Condenser. Shop even threw in a new serpentine belt and tightened my trac bar free of charge. Also, found out the only mechanic there has a Suburban on 38's. Met a new wheeling buddy.

Cleaned, primed & painted the new front bumper...
Acetone bath, two cats of etching primer, and three coats of spray bed liner...
Nice to have something out front again after having nothing for a year...

It's super easy. A lot easier to visualize when it's actually in your hand. You need to grind the mount and also a small spot on the block. Yours has the exact same alternator set up (I'm pretty sure not 100%!!) so just follow this write up:Originally Posted by jtm01xj

Replaced my old trail bashed Walker Quietflow muffler with a 2.5" Thrush Welded muffler with a turndown(no tailpipe)..... HOLY FRIGGIN DRONE!! I want to rip my ears off after about ten minutes. sounds great from the outside, nice and throaty, but im gonna need to run a tailpipe. Its stupid loud in the cabin.

Isn't the stock pipe 2.25"? I'm looking at Thrush welded. Interested how you like it with a tailpipe if you go that route.Originally Posted by stock95sport(for now)

I love my thrush welded. Great tone. Makes my jeep sound angry 😈Originally Posted by C H E R O K E E 98XJ

No, the heavier the spring rate, the stiffer it will be. Spring rates are listed in that link, and you can even compare them to stock XJ springs.Originally Posted by sycoglitch

Edit: My mistake. Spring capacity is listed; not rate. It reflects the same info, though.
