Changed my headlight switch. What a pain in the *** to get under the dash to see the harness to plug in the new switch.
Putco headlight harness is to be here tomorrow, hopefully that will keep me from having to change the headlight switch ever again.

You'll love the light increase. Just for fun, start engine and measure the voltage at the headlight with them on and plugged in before you replace anything (compare with your battery voltage) and check it again after. I got a 4.25V increase. (30%)

New master cylinder is in. Hope it fixes my crappy brakes. And I used a soap dispenser to siphon the fluid. Oh yeah

Ok so after a while of trying to figure out the vacuum issue with my ac I think I got it straight but now I noticed that I have a high idle around 1200 rpms wth.... I cleaned the throtle body and iac sensor took the tps out and cleaned that and even seafoamed her again but still higg idle uggh...before when I thought I had the ac fixed the idle was fine but when I hit the gas the ac would only blow through the defrosters so I tinkered around with it and it kind of still happens but not as bad but again my idle is high now so im confused in what is going on

I added Seafoam to the gas today. Gonna Seafoam through the throttle body tomorrow. Then it is junkyard time to look for some parts.

Did you bench bleed the new master before you installed it? If not you may have a problem getting all of the air out of the lines. It may take you bleeding the whole system a few times before they firm up. If it continues having a soft pedal look at all of the brake fittings for leaks. You may be leaking air in the lines.

Worked on taking the donor motor apart down to the block... Going to try and pull the head and oil pan tomorrow so I can put new rods and mains in before I put the head off of my newer motor on.
Normally I wouldn't go to this extreme with a motor but since my XJs motor is a 2000 and the donor is a 97 model, the heads are different.... The newer motor has the coil pack system but the block is the same......
I bought this XJ from the original owner with 240k on the clock and the blown motor. :/

New master cylinder and whatever this is. But it finally sealed it. Somewhat, can't wait till it gets lined and it all matches.
Brand new Cherokee owner as of today
I purchased my Cherokee today. bought a 1998 4.0 with a 3 1/2 inch lift. I am trying to learn as much as possible to make it as bad *** as possible. I know I need to replace the U joints already. Only other mechanical defect I have been able to locate is that the oil pan gasket needs replacing. Any other tips on what to look out for, or what to do that would give great improvments.
Thanks
