Installed a set of R E sway bar drop down brackets and new polyurethane bushings. Right and tight!

Final washing friday afternoon with a plan to have the pooch and a few bubblies assist in a final paint touch up. Then Sat, off the the show.
However, on the last 5 miles home the trans looses the battle. Drops OD and high gears. Goes to 2nd gear and engine won't idle, dies, restarts, coughs and bucks, trans continues to have fits. Not the friday evening as planned.
Well we limp home and decide to have a go at it after dinner. Allow the car wash to dry out in case it is a wet issue. Me all sad faced and the pooch totally oblivious to the potential disaster looming.
Same conditions exists after dinner, so letting it sit and doing nothing did not fix the problem (inaction is not a reliable course of problem correction)
The pooch gets a snack, I get a shop stool and we have some contemplation of what would cause engine and transmission malfunction?
With the high mileage of the Peep, could be time for trans failure, wow don't even want to think about that, checked the fluid, level was down about 100 mill but not burnt in any way.
Of course the Peep takes a hard look at any attempt for maintenance. Last week I installed a brand new TPS, Napa's best! The TPS does have information feed to both the engine and trans management devices.
Quick test of the input / output voltages (Thanks for Cruiser and his Renix maintenance write ups!); yup the new TPS has failed. So the pooch and I do a quick search for OB1 Kenobi, lol, we pull out the original TPS, only a minor 620000km on the factory original. Do a swap and adjustment.
Start up is clean and idle is smooth. A quick run down the road and the trans is shifting all gears, clean and crisp.
Time to return home, give the dog a bone, and break out the bubblies for celebration. The Peep is cured (well perhaps not cured but mobile again).
The pooch and I finish the touch up paint, (a lot of touch ups required), hit the bed about 2am.
Saturday leads 1st to Napa for a parts return.
Then to the Really Big Show!
Lots of jeeps of all years (50+), all models, some great XJ's, big n small, in attendance, RTI, teetertotter, car crush, BBQ, goody bag, prizes, great weather, good friends.
I win a prize, wow fantastic!
The Wellington Motors is a great host and sells 4 jeeps, the TCJC raises a great pile of money for Childrens Wish charity, the Peep still works at the end of the day! Virtually a fairtale ending with the Peep riding into the sunset. How can a fathers day week end end better?
I though peep was a constant typo until I read your tag haha sounds like an adventureous weekend.
