Bumper looks great. Just be careful running the winch with lights on and at idle. You'll drain your battery quick that way.

That's when the high idle mod comes I. Handy. I have my old fog light switch as my high idle switch

Thanks, and yeah it was a long pull too but not under full load. I kept the gas in for a bit. My battery was new when I got the jeep, but I'm looking to get an Odyssey at some point. My XJ has the factory 117a alternator which helps a bit too I reckon

Those lights are temporary anyways--all factory fog wiring with some cheapo AutoZone lights, lol

Oh, so your hood falls on your head a few seconds after opening it?

High idle raises from 750 to 1000 RPM in the PCM. Applies only to 4 cyls and 6cyl autos (6 cyl manual PCM doesn't have the pin on its connector)

My 10K winch draws 370amps at full load. There's no alternator on the market that come close to keeping up. You normally only do one pull before you start driving and begin to recharge. You didn't do anything wrong, just know what type or strain your putting on your battery when your winching. Get a good, deep cycle battery, give it a chance to recharge between pulls and avoid any unnecessary draws while using the winch.
