He wants to weld it off the Jeep anyways since he isn't too sure he can weld upside down anyways, this way I'm half done with taking it off.

I welded upside down and it sucks

I think he just didn't realize how much space there is above the pipes, or he just doesn't want to get slag all over himself.

Must not be a very good welder, i wouldn't trust him with it. Go to a muffler shop

Nah he's good, he built our race car from the ground up. Which is why i trust him, i think he just wants to do a good job.

I think it's, like i said above, he doesn't realize how much space there is above the pipes so he thinks it would be too difficult. I'll have him actually look at it when he gets the welder fixed.

Why not just take it to a muffler shop and give the guy $20 to weld it up?

Just started it up on a cold March morning and getting ready to pull it into my walk in freezer of a garage. I'm bundled up like Randy from a Christmas Story and thinking its manageable lol. Old cold suspension hardware here I come.

Thanks man I hear ya I use to work 2nd and 3rd. Sucks though I need to take wheels off and roll them a block to the shop to have the 31s mount and balanced I don't have another vehicle here to transport them.

I assume you're asking about the bumper and not just the bull bar?

I've always liked Smittybilt's bumper designs. I've never seen them in person, but I'm a fan of the style.
