Go under on the ds behind the rear tire there is a round plug behind the quater at the bottom and pull the plug. I cleaned mine and found this plug and about 5 gallons of water shot out and my jeep sits higher on that side now. Easy lift ,huh . Never knew that was there. Just a FYI.

primered and painted my front bumper sunday nite and it will hang to dry until friday, maybe saturday. its not perfect, but i just dont want it to chip or peel off and start rusting again. maybe a pic on friday, my camera is screwing up on me.
Finally got the XJ back from the body shop after 2 weeks and now will be replacing the shocks in the front, oil change, diff fluid change, work on wiring lights to the bumper and installing the winch.

yesterday, ripped the dash out of my donor xj along with the center console.
today installing the console, replacing the liftgate's cylinders and if my kid permits, I'll put the donor on blocks to have access, so I can remove the leafs to put them on mine plus remove all 4 tires and the rear wiper motor.

Worked on the Jeep until 2:30 this AM. Got the front end of the RC 4.5" lift installed including track bar, damper, new CA bushing, and drag link tie rod end. Today I am going to try to do the rear and TC drop.
Stopped at napa and got the rest of my supplies for my front/rear diff oil change. Stepped out of the store and checked the little boxes they came in, one had the gasket, the second one was empty. Walked back in the store and they gave me my $4 back for the missing gasket.
I got up this morning and washed all the mud off of my Jeep to get a full damage report from yesterdays festivities.

Finished wiring up my lights, almost caught it on fire when the inline fuse that came with them melted its holder, put in a new ATC style inline fuse. Jumped it off my girlfriends 96, let it run for a while, drove it down the road and back.. tell you one thing, going from my 89 to my girlfriends 96 if a BIG change in driving styles..
Also helped 89cherokeelimited with what was supposed to be a quick repair that turned into a huge project. The previous owner did his own Detroit Locker install and failed to set anything up properly. It all started when a ring gear bolt made a surprise appearance through the diff cover. A trail repair to prevent the loss of all the fluid revealed that there was another bolt missing all together. We pulled the cover back off today to replace it with a spare and found that all the ring gear bolts were only finger tight, with several having backed out a little and making contact with the axle housing. The bolts for the locker were in the same conditon. Of the four carrier bearing cap bolts, 1 was broken off in the housing, 1 was only finger tight, and the other 2 were barley tight, and the axle seals were leaking badly. We swapped the locker and axle shafts into the spare D35 I had sitting in the driveway.

Hey that is my rear gears lol I cant believe how bad my gears were and they held up to a full day of wheeling and about an 1hr 45mins drive home.
And on top of those gears being worn one of the strap bolts that holds my locker on was broke off in the housing in the axle. Bad situation... Long night ... a lot of broke parts but we got it done lol
