Threw a rod through the oil pan and cracked the block last week, so I spent the weekend doing a motor swap. From now on I'll remember to disconnect the CPS before dropping the crossmember.

I was looking for a winch that advertised water proof capabilities. I was going to get a superwinch lp8500 but I read a lot of reviews about water damage and not being covered. I aim for water because its fun for some reason! If I throw a ****** block on this winch I could pull 21,000lbs so I think it will do. I wouldn't say anything 12,000lbs or less is overkill at all. I was thinking about the recon 17,500lb winch but I wanted the synthetic line. Reviews are promising even though the guy at HCP 4x4 said "i would never put that brand on ANY vehicle EVER!" He was the one trying to sell me a superwinch which isn't very waterproof apparently.Just because I walk into a store with money for a winch doesn't mean I'm buying yours!

My wife went 3 wheeling, and I got to use my winch for something other then yard work.
My buddy had a boulder wedged between the Gastank and axle so I had to winch him up a few feet to free the boulder so he could back off the obstacle cause he couldn't go up or back off it
