Trimmed the fenders some more to match the headlights... Horrible experience. Messed up the flare pretty bad but will (hopefully) fix that tomorrow! and spray painted the rocker panels grey with some stop rust stuff. Looks good!

Pics, please! I'm going to do this when I get a chance. (Hopefully not the messing up the flare part.)

I took her to the beach to try out the 4WD system for the first time since putting the new motor mounts and doing all the adjusting underneath. It's crazy smooth & easy to move the lever now. Almost TOO smooth. It's still touchy whether 4WD kicks in or not. I have to figure out the trick as to the best way way to rev the engine to ensure engaging and disengaging the 4WD. OR...maybe it's just the dash light that's touchy on coming on and the 4WD is performing as it should. Hard to tell when you're bouncing around.

Starting to think ahead to fender trimming. Mechanically, the steering box replacement/upgrade should be next, but I think I'd like her painted first and it's best to do the fenders and cut the holes for the hood vents first before painting.

The dash light in my 96 is touchy too, especially when it's cold. Your 4WD is probably fine.

Thumbs up Yahoooo!

Just finished my engine swap at 2:30am. The ol' girl is running again! This project took a year to complete, and that is mostly because I had to work on it in 3 different places, and all the while being sick and having appointment after appointment trying to figure out if I have cancer or not (still don't know, have to go for another biopsy in August). I took a $300 engine from a 95 and rebuilt it from the bottom to the top and used my 92 XJ as an outlet for my worries/fears. It's a Jeep thing, and I know all you guys understand.

Yesterday I did a little exhaust work. Hit the junkyard yesterday morning and grabbed a sound bar. In my 2001, theyre built in the headliner. So, I took the removable on and put it right behind my head. Also scored pioneer speakers for out of a pimped out caddy at the JY too lol.
