Blocks are just bad, they fail a lot. which when they do not if they do your axle will be loose and get jacked up, axle wrap is what happens when your springs flex and the axle spins up or down it puts the driveshaft in a bad position and can break the shaft or your yoke on your axle

I don't think our motors put out enough power to wrap an axle on a little 1 inch block. Now a two inch block will multiply the leverage placed on the spring.
As for me, finished welding my leaf spring mounts up, got engine ready for removal, welded up braces for my tire carrier and took the Chief to its temp home.

I beg to differ! I've seen it done, and also seen the blocks crack while wheeling and the pins shoot out, if your wheeling it at all I would recommend not using blocks, if you want that extra inch get some shackles,

Wow, must have been a cheap set. I've used no more than 1 inch ones but they were solid stock with the pin machined into them. I'll agree with you on the seperate pin type, avoid at all costs!
Almost forgot got a lot of spare parts for Xjs and FSJs!

Blocks like shackles both have risk and reward I have built mini trucks with small blocks and never broke a 3 inch or smaller

I have that lift. I will try to remember to get you some pics tomorrow, but I am sure you have nothing to worry about.
