YESTERDAY
i had a bad day working on the XJ, i was set out to do an oil change and replace the belt, pull in my shop and pull the hood release and it brakes so i cut the cable and pull it with some pliers hood opens now on with the oil change (at least that goes smooth) spray all the bolts with PB blaster that i will need to take off when i do the lift, lower the truck back down (perks of the job) on to the belt well i checked out the write up on here and also have all data through work and they both are pretty much the same except on my 00 the tensioner is different there is a long bolt and the pulley you have to loosen witch looks like its never been touched it was all rusty and a PITA to loosen and took about an hour to fight through that, got the old belt off the new one LOOKS the same after fighting with it i dicide to check again and its about a 1/2" short any way i put the old one back on and went on my way
