took her to walmart with my gf and this group of stoners in a civic parked kitty corner infront of us on the other side of a median curb. we came out and i started the jeep and let it run while we talked a little and the stoners were just sitting and smoking. i put it in gear after a little bit and crawled over the curb and they started freaking out as i drove past..it was hilarious.

oh, got some $15 55w platinum burner fogs..

@ Cliff: Looks like you went up alone

As for me, I tried putting up my back seat to find, much to my dismay, that this spare tire won't fit like that. Can't latch the seat on that side. Oh well, I guess it's a 2-seater for now. Drove to golden and back, been windy lately and it's really messing with my head.

Okay, so it's been gusting in excess of 20 mph on several occasions lately. Jeeps, being 'as aerodynamic as a brick' will catch the full force of this. I was driving on a highway going into the wind and was thinking, "what the hell, why am I not getting up to speed? Something wrong with the engine?" and I immediately begin diagnosing the problem, and can't think of anything. I didn't realize how windy it was until I turned onto another road going perpendicular to the wind and saw some dust flying across the road. A similar thing happened on another road when the wind was blowing me sideways, I thought it was an alignment issue....

The main problem is it's windy in winter in CO: no leaves, no snow (for now), grass is all dead and won't flex in wind. I have no way to measure the wind on my vehicle. I was thinking of setting up a very small sensor array on my roof a while ago that would cross-reference my speed to gauge wind, temp, humidity, etc.

Today, coming home from the auto parts store,
I had a "ricer" jockeying for position in my rearview.
Got tired of his little games, took an odd-ball route to the main drag.
He made every turn I made, even when I double-backed my route.

Getting old, quickly.
There is a right-of-way behind the houses in my neighborhood. They are putting curbs in for a widening project. Drove up to where the right-of-way would normally come out. But there is a 12" curb there.
Dropped into 4H and drove in like it was nothing.
He came to s sliding stop just shy of the curb.

DARN! Would have loved to see the ground effects become airborn effects.
Needless to say, he didn't follow me after that.

Replaced my tired battery with a Duralast Gold from A/Z. Only to break the rear holddown off the battery tray.
Well, guess its time to get my butt onto RockAuto and order another one.

Installed my EBAY special cold air intake. What a PITA!!! I really need to stop buying the cheap ones and save for the K&N FIPK. On the flip side, I did notice some improvment in throttle response and acceleration! Also MPG increase!! Gotta love it for only 40 bucks!!

You could always roll down your window prior to getting up to speed and check the wind velocity, temp, etc...

New plugs, wires, cap, rotor and coil (all BWD) from O'Reilly's. We will see if it runs better.

Also repaired the vacuum lines that were not connected to the vacuum reservoir. Now the vents will not change on me when going up a hill.

Yeah you caught me but I had someone else in the jeep with me, good cell reception and a winch so I figured I would be OK lol I would love to have somebody to go with but I haven't met any locals around here to wheel with yet

Hahahaha that's great! People these days.. I tell ya. Like you said it would have been so funny to see the ground effects catch some air but still that's a good one.

We have a street that's a good tail-loser, they put in some of these elevated curbs in attempt for "speed bumps," I can take them top speed, tuners cannot

I drove over to a wheeling buddy's place, helped him move some stuff, attempted to put my back seat up and failed. 30" tires are too big.
