new struts would be awesome but the PO tore out one of the mounts. might have to do vise grips. the huge hunk of plywood is annoying in the trunk.

yeah vise-grips on the strut lol it worked well but I was tired of it. Now I can raise the hatch an inch or so it continues to raise itself the rest of the way up lol. No more hatch to the face when I forget to place the grips.

Went and got an alignment. NO MORE DEATH WOBBLE!! and on the way back home I was cruzin with the windows down arm out and I decided to give her an impromptu bath. There was like a water main break and everyone was getting in the left lane where there was only like an inch of water I decided to go right lane through about 5 inches at like 30 mph and then laughed the whole rest of the way home!! I even got the headliner wet!

Replacing my rear-hatch struts was the easiest fix on mine, original were all but shot. Replacements are cheap (~$30 for a pair online). If I could do it, believe me, anyone can Just have someone to help, ie hold up the hatch. Otherwise, a 10-minute job can take you a half-hour...

Thumbs down well not what I did more like what it did to me!

Well working on the jeep a little trying to get some last minute things wrapped up to paint this weekend. I had the hatch up reached in grabbed what I needed stood up (now I am 6'2'' and we all know the factory height) on top of the height challenge I am ADHD and move around like the worlds on fire.

Lets just say moving quickly, height vs Rear corner of hatch does not work out so well. ended up with 2.5" laceration cut to the skull.

3 hours at local ER $1800.00
6 staples to the head and Drs fees $800.00
unexpected date night with the wife in the ER and Burger King on the way home WITHOUT THE KIDS......Priceless

Well I guess that in all moves that lift kit and tires out quite a bit.
