Mine definitely didn't come with the Infinity sound package. I had to install that myself from a Cherokee Sport that I found in the junk yard.
Mine either! And I don't have door tweeters either...I just put an alpine/kenwood system in mine....sounds amazing!Originally Posted by thatXJguy

Word on the street is the D44 was available 87-90 possibly with tow package but you'll never find one except for 87. I got the build sheet for my 89 and it has tow package listed but had a D35 with a limited slip. In the last 6 months we've found 3 D44s and all in 87s.
My understanding is even though some part might have been spec'ed if they didn't have the part the production line wasn't stopping. They put whatever they could put to keep building.

I have seen a few 88's 89's with D44s in the rear and even one 90 but they are HARD to come by that is for sure!Originally Posted by McCaffrey

Think tow package, it's going to have the stronger axle.
Right. Chrysler 8.25 Jeeps don't have ABS.
Yes. That's the only way you can get a Chrysler 8.25 from the factory.
Yes. Not sure on the years, but I've seen later model Cherokees with them, so probably 97-01.
So in the end the only way you can get the jeep you want without building it yourself (i want a limited with manual windows...don't ask haha) is to hope whoever ordered the Jeep out of the factory has the exact same taste as you hahaOriginally Posted by thatXJguy

My perfect choice would be a bone stock 89.5 with Ax-15 2 door manual windows base model. To me that would be the perfect build Cherokee.
