Default What is the best service manual?

Should I grab a Chrysler manual from ebay, or are pacific coast manuals just as reliable? Part of me wants the paper copy so I dont have to deal with a PDF copy on a laptop... And I dont want to print one out either. And the printer at work knows who prints stuff off their computer, so if its like 500 pages....... they may not appreciate that.

Does anyone know how many pages the pacific coast ones are?

Also, if I get a paper copy from ebay, what is in the "supplement" manual that I see listed on ebay? I see the regular service manual, and a supplement manual.

I don't know the size of the Pacific manuals but the one I was looking at from Bishko, (They printed the original owners and shop service manuals.) are a 1700 page pdf and cost around $100. So I'd imagine the Pacific manuals could fall short on information. It's possible to find a paper copy for '96 model year but it may be more expensive. I don't know what a supplement manual is so I can't help with that.

Summit racing has a paper back (1,552) pages for $100

Ebay has the Chrysler service manuals for about $30 or $40 I think... used ones. And I saw the supplement for 1996 Cherokee, so I was just curious what I would be missing if I didn't get one of those.

Where are you at in Littleton?
I'm pretty much right at Pierce and Ken Caryle... Columbine Hills.

Dang, I'd be interested in those manuals too, especially because I'd have to buy two, a '99 and '01. Do you have a picture or link? I'd like to see the the cover. I thought the ones I was looking at where factory Chrysler.

I'm at Bowles and Wadsworth. Just curious or any reason in particular?

I dealt with Pacific Coast Manuals a few years ago. At the time, his web site didn't mention that you MUST use Adobe PDF reader to use his manuals (dunno about now). I don't use Adobe due to their many security problems, so his manuals were useless to me. I contacted him and explained the situation, and he told me I should have known that I need Adobe because everybody uses Adobe. I tried to point out that not everybody uses Adobe, and he got rude. He was a complete jerk about it.

Also, I am skeptical of the legitimacy of his manuals. Unless he has permission from Chrysler, he's pirating. I asked him about that, and he dodged the question.
