It may be obvious but I'm not exactly sure what it is and everyone I've asked has told me multiple different things.

It's an sensor for a key fob, key less entry.

Could somebody just put a sticky of this item at the top of the page? Twice a week somebody will ask what this is. Might as well sticky a picture of the vacuum ball at the top of the page too.

The 97+ XJ's use a different setup than the older ones, and didn't need the little 'spy cam' lol. The older ones used Infared Frequency for the remote entry, and the newer ones used Radio Frequency.

Cherokees prior to 97 had this keyless sensor. Late models use a different technology.
