I don't have the slightest idea what this is can some one help me out? It's just a bulb lookin thing. It's in my 93 xj.

lol... that's a common question... it's a receiver/sensor for keyless entry... mine has one too and I think a lot of xj's on here have it... if you don't have keyless entry or don't want it... ditch it

It's a security camera!

He's right. It's an IR Sensor for keyless. It's not worth a crap. Pointless.

Mine has one too, & I don't have the keyless thingy.......when I take the headliner out, I don't know that it's going back up......may convert it to a light instead, if that can be done!

funniest thing about it is that I think I posted the exact same topic with the same title and same picture (except my interior is gray) when I first came to this forum about a year ago.... priceless... I think this should be a sticky titled ::IF ANYONE WANTS TO KNOW WHAT THIS IS, CLICK HERE::

Good to know
I always assumed it controlled daytime running lights/auto on lights (which I also dont have) like the ambient light sensors on the dash of newer trucks.
Will be removing it aswell
