Sure I'm not the only one. But when ever the road "pavement" is wet even a little I'm spinning tires or sliding thru stop signs. One time I acually had to use 4wd to go up a hill that was wet. This has aways been a problem with my 88" before and after the lift and it really never changed much with different tires. One time I was going around a corner and it spun all the way around facing opposet direction But my 89 never has a problem lol Whats your Guys storys?

Well i think alot of it has to do with tires and what exactly is wet. When it rains here in AZ the roads get oily and very slick. So pretty much unless you have performance street tires you'll be sliding.

But on my end it looses traction fairly easy, nearly had several accidents because of it...

My jeep is a 2wd. I have never taken it on sand nor will I ever. The only time it has been off of paved roads is to go down my friends long, mostly rock but some mud, driveway. It did not lose traction, even when I went up this pretty steep part of it. The jeep goes over water and puddles no problem.
My dad has even taken his hands off the steering wheel and we went through a pretty big puddle and it just kept going straight. This scared the crap out of my mom and I when he said, "Watch this", before he did it (we were also hauling a jet ski)

 

Unless I floor the accelerator on wet pavement, I don't have a problem with spinning the tires.

 

i agree, bad tires.... this happened to me when i had my road tires on my jeep... It was not terrible but every once in a while i would loose traction. But now even with my TSL's which have zero sipping i barely slip around. and that is on concrete, asphalt the works. the only thing that i have to worry about is stopping. and it sounds to me like you have a lead foot =]

Also when i first start to stop in the rain my brakes are VERY touchy.....

 

I have the same issue with my brakes when it rains. My brakes become very sensitive when I first use them in the rain. They act like I'm slamming on the brakes even if I'm only tapping on them. At least it only happens one or two times, then they go back to normal.

 

Me Too! Hahaha finally people with the same problem! Yeah, its almost like they need to dry off or something.

I here have the same problem! But just imagine that happening in a school parking lot like it did to me. Person behind me was not to happy but didn't hit me.

 

I don't have any problems on wet pavement or dry. Even though I am running more than stock horsepower, it is hard to make the tires break loose. I sipe my tires and it makes a huge difference on hard surfaces and snow and ice.

 

Sounds like the tires are over inflated.

What tires, size, and air pressure are you running?

 

yeah I would say its the tires too...

my previous ones were terrible in the rain at times.

 

I say tires and extra heavy right foot are the only problem, here.
