Default welded dana35c?

i searched=nothin at all

i have a dana35c,i have a upcountry xj so its a lsd rear end,and is it worth welding the rear end? or is that to much stress? if i do weld it,how the ride on the road?

I wouldnt. lol. There are odd cases where it doesnt explode. For example I bought a YJ with a welded D35 on 35s!!! it ran fine and I beat on it a bit in the mud but I never took it on a real trail. I didnt trust it, the only reason i drove it on those trails is because it was across the road from where i stored the jeep so i didnt care if it broke.

Yeah, stick with the LSD that is there. On 30s, you could get away with it for a while, but it is really hard on axles on the road.

Its been like that for a little more then 9 years
6 of which where before my uncle gave me the jeep
and Ive beaten the he** out of it since
tho Ive driven it on the road, its NOT a DD.
other then the tires chirping when turning
it drove fine on the road.
But if your rig is not a DD and you want
a cheap way to lock your 35, it will get the job done
depending on the types of trails your on.


I wouldn't try to crawl any rocks with a welded 35 tho lol
