Default weirdest fixs

what is the weirdest way you've fixed something on your jeep
i was wheeling today hit a bump real hard and broke my welds near the cat so i used toy hand cuffs to hold the pipe from knocking around while i drove home

two things. First, take off your rear sway bar, you don't need it and Second, Do we even want to know what you were doing with a set of handcuffs in your jeep?

My clutch linkage broke on my old CJ7 in the middle of a 4+ trail. I used giant zip-ties (5 footers) to hold it back on the frame, haha.

a wire melted and was touching the manifold causing it to ground out and short, (one of the sensors)
the new sensor to fix it right was $90 so i put electrical tape around the whole thing and zip tied the wire and sensor to the fire wall 2 years ago, its still there...

ratchet straps, log pieces and broken suspension parts = 400km drive home on the highway. wouldn't have known anything was even broken.
done this not only to my jeep, but a couple others as well.

large stick and rubber cement to patch a punctured sidewall on a trail.

bubble gum in a valve stem cap to seal due to missing valve stem cores.... (not a funny prank) now carry extra valve cores.

duct tape to fix torn radiator hose and safety wire to replace the broken hose clamp.

me and a buddy went wheeling on a very steep hill and he decided to move his seat on the hill. it slid to fast and broke the lock, couple of 2x4s on each side of the seat are holding it in place right now.

another buddy broke the bolts on his bumper somehow, instead of trying to fit it in the back we bungeed in to the rear hatch. (took 4 3 ft bungees but we got it to stay for the last 3 miles of the trail)

My heater control valve cracked and I ended up putting the inlet and outlet heater hoses together (to bypass the heater core) with two ziploc bags, some zip ties, and duct tape. It did pretty well and got me from home to school (about a 20 mile drive) with no issues. Once I was at school, I replaced the heater control valve in Auto Shop and to my surprise, I only lost like half a cup of coolant!

I have nylon string holding my fan shroud in place. The bolts just disappeared one day, and i heard an awful smacking noise. Saw where the e-fan bolt was vibrated out as well. Now, I got string. No probs.

Handcuffs as clamps.. I need to get a pair of those for my "Roadside Breakdown Kit"; ducttape, string, bubble gum, assorted sticks, screws, glue, electrical tape.
