Default "We Feel Your Pain" Thread

Just starting a thread for all the "This happened to me and it sucks" threads, so they have one place to call home... also because I'm having a moment here. I finally saved up enough to buy my 4.5" lift, and on the day I have the money, my radiator decides it's about time to spring a leak... and to make things a little worse, my computer also decides it doesn't like the RAM I have in it either- I was so close to getting my lift!!!

I get all the squeaks and rattles out of the back of the jeep (the front is too far gone) and then the screw for the trim on the back hatch comes out. No amount of foam stops it from rattling at a high frequency on any terrain. Goddamnit.

You have an evap problem, could be the evap purge solenoid is stuck open. You need to smoke check the evap system and find the leak.

OHH THE PAIN!

I was travelling to Finland for the weekend 1000 miles but after crossing the sea with a ferry and driving 200 miles in Finland, my rear D35 ****s itself with a crazy vibration/noise/smoke combo, because the bearings died. Then I removed the rear driveshaft so I could at least drive it in front wheel drive, but it came out the D30 was also half-dead and vibrated like the whole car was going to explode. Then the good old NP231's chain started skipping, but by some miracle by driving slow we managed to get back to the ferry and home. Tomorrow will be damage assessment.

I guess it's a Jeep thing

Still this isn't enough to break my XJ addiction.

Also, while there, someone in a Grand Cherokee gave me the Jeep wave
