Now I will say fram has begun to do better with their filters, I believe the heavy duty one is supposed to be a "quality" filter. But from all I've heard and read and been told they have faulty anti drain valves so once the engine is off oil drains out of the filter and your next start up will be a dry start. If I'm wrong about this somebody please try and set me straight

Looked up the Fram info, pretty wild. I have never seen that before. Thanks for the head up. I generally haven't looked into oil filters much since we have been with the same company for a while now.

I cut open one of our current filters on Saturday to see how they are designed. Just as a thought, metal end caps and a durable filter system. The one thing that surprised me was the spring loaded pressure bypass system in it. It actually bypassed from the bottom rather than on top like puralator or motorcraft. Different but I can see it being effective. Ill try to post pics when I get a chance.
