Find a hose a lil' bit bigger(or smaller) and rejoin them. (duh)

top hose line is cracked all the way up. forgot to mention.

why are these made of plastic, a thick rubber would make it less succeptable to breaking from a small budge

i dont even know what this thing does

Just go buy some new vacuum hose at the parts store. You're out maybe 5 bucks.

It actuates your cruise control, and makes it possible for you to switch between floor and defrost. Sounds like you've already thought up your solution! Go buy some rubber vacuum hose and replace it all

there's a 2-part plastic filler that you can buy at walmart. can't find it now, but get back to me later, i'll give you the exact name. when i dropped my bike, it broke off the coolant overflow canister's fitting where the rubber hose goes. the bike runs steady 200 so without it, you can't ride it even 3 minutes. to make it short, i fixed it with that filler. that was 3 years ago. still doing fine.

I was told it had something to do with emissions too, and that with that segment of the hose broken the yeep would have some yucky fumes coming out but i guess not. i can live without cruise control, but cant wthout defrost.

just gonna find some rubber hose replacement, thanks for your help guys. i know nothing concerning cars, and forums are my only resources for getting answers.

that tube can be clogged and your heater will work just fine until you put the motor under heavy straine like high rpm. lower the rpm and heater works again.

If it's not clogged then you have a magic jeep heater.
