How much do you want to spend?
I would go with a chevy LS or ford smallblock but probly alot easier to do a supercharger or turbo either way GOODTIMES

 

 

Here is a far superior turbo 4.7 inline 6 Cherokee putting down nearly TWICE that number. 500 whp 600 lb ft at the wheels.

i used to know this guy in ft.myers florida who took the engine out of a corvette and put it in an xj... it was sick, sounded so good, it was jet black and had vet emblims all over

 

im gonna search around to find out cost. i would love to put an ls motor in this thing.
