I don't necessarily have full-time roadraje but the way people on Long Island drive pisses me eff off. Cherokees don't swerve and stop like a sports car and there's been a few times I've been forced to push the limits of her abilities. Put your damn phone down and drive!!!

Four pages in, and the guy I was hoping would explain his hasn't. I assume basslick doesn't lick bass, but I'm at a loss as to what else his screen name means.

I always assumed it was bass (guitar) lick.

Similar to a riff, but different. I could be wrong though.

The guys above are correct. I'm a bass player and a "lick" is another name for a run or riff. I.e. Guitar licks, piano licks, bass licks.
