i tried to snow drift with my XJ once when it was stock. i slid off and hit an old lady crossing the street dead center and cleaned her right off the i'm just kidding.
i just slid off and climbed a snow bank sideways. didn't flip, just sank it the snow bank while i was sliding sideways. it was impossible to move an inch. i had to go home and get my dodge to come and pull it out. it was unbelievable, because my dodge didn't even spin out while yanking the XJ out of the snow sideways. the XJ didn't have a scratch on it.

there's a mcdonalds by me right off the highway. it has a little field next to it with those little concrete curb things dividing the parking lot from the grass. i always make a point to drive over the curb and park in the field
. so far i haven't gotten in trouble for it, then again i don't eat mcdonalds often

i have an issue with this stump in the inlaws front yard
i like to hop the curb and pop a front tire on the stump and try to keep one of the rears on the road, showin a lil flex action
needles to say they try to keep a pot open for me so i can just park in the drive but thats no fun

this is the only good urban offroad story i got
there is a Buffalo Wilds Wings a litle down the road from my house that has an elivated parking lot compared the the sherwin willians next door and it is seperated by this concrette incline with a parking curb on the top
id seen a hummer park its front wheels a little up the incline so i did the same next to it but then i got the idea that i had enough clearance to climb up it and have a better parking spot. well it climbed the incline like easy and then BOOM!!1 i smashed the parking curb and took off like 8 inch chunk of concrette with my tcase crossmember

i only have the story of when i tried to go over a grass hill down the street form my house and it turned out they were gravel with grass growing on top. got the front wheels over nad hten started spinning. we had to call the wife to bring the liberty over with a knocking engine to pull us off. this is back when it was stock though so now it goes over easily.
i think the pic is in my cherokee folder on here. i would post it form photobucket but work blocks photobucket so i cannot access it.

Sort of urban as it's only a few miles from Baton Rouge:
On my way home yesterday, since the interstate was plugged solid from a wreck I decided to hit a section of the River Road that is dirt. Just looking to be able to run the pig in 4wd to exercise it a bit.
This is the stretch.
Turns out, with all our rain lately there were a lot of fairly deep watery mudholes along the route. I used the "When in doubt, gas it out" plan and made it with very little drama, but a lot of splashing.
Actually caught a late model land cruiser tiptoeing around the mudholes so as to keep his pretty truck clean. He pulled over and I cruised by in the ditch.

This past winter the roads froze over in the kennesaw area here in georgia and a buddy of mine and i took our newly lifted rigs (his is a gmc 1500) and went snow driften had a good time, then on the way home it froze a little more so i drove about 5 under in 4hi just in case as every one else was goin about 25 and i ended up seeing a truck in the ditch on the hill b4 my neighborhood and this dude was trying to winch himself out with a come-along attatched to a sign post!!
So needless to say i had to stop to show off my xj power! Lol took my strap out and tugged on that sucker for a minute but i eventually got him out with my open diffs front and back and him sitting to the side watching as his 2wd 1500 eased on up the hill. Funny thing was 1) a huge f250 drove by didn't slow down 2) suv cop passed by and didn't slow down 3) dude asked if my jeep was 4 wheel drive when i stopped to help him?!?! 4.5 lift, bighorn mudders, and offroad lights! "is that jeep 4wd?" you got to be kidding me!!
hahahaha
