Default Ugghhh! Blew fuse i think

So I got a wool animal house horn and was trying to find a 12v wire to connect it to. Anyways being the curious kid I am I shoved the voltage meter in the ciggerette lighter and all of a sudden the radio went off and the cig lighter is dead.. Any tips?

Just an FYI the radio, clock (if equipped) and lighter all share 12v power through the dome light fuse. So just in case your radio fuse is good and it still doesn't work take a look at the clock and dome light fuses too

Figured it all out! Man do I feel dumb! Was looking at the fuse box under the hood and saw the 60a fuse that said int. Power. Which is what I thought I blew. Anyways I showed the guy at autozone and he laughed and said I needed to check the inside one. But got it figured out! Now I'm scared to cut into a wire to get the right one. It says I just need to tap into a 12 volt wire but I'm not good with electronics so if someone could take a pic of what wire to do it in id love you. For a 92 laredo. Don't know if year matters

Rather than cutting wiring, you could tap into the interior fuse panel for a switched (powered with key turned) 12V source. My 91 even has single terminals that say "acc" as if they knew people were gonna add things lol. If you needed a constant 12v source for whatever reason, ide go directly to the battery. Much simpler and less destructive than cutting up your wiring.
