I'd expect your 97 to have a chrysler 8.25. Post a pic of your dif cover or google it and compare to yours.

Google jeep dif covers, Ive seen a group of pics that depict shape and bolt patterns to let you be sure. On your 97 I'd say its gonna be the 8.25, that;s a good allroung sturdy rear end.

Okay. So how big u bolt should I use 3" lift=1.5" block-1.5" shackle and then I'll find out the axle soon

you need an 8.8 with LSD and disk brakes

If you can remember. Did you have a flat spot on the bottom of your punkin? If so you have a 8.25 29 spline. If not you got a turdy 5
