It will give it more bass, but it makes it louder from outside... My buddy got a ticket for a FM 40 series on his 4.3 silverado, one can only imagine a 10 series or super 40 or none at all...,

My setup right now is about a foot and a half straight pipe after the cat and a turn down right before the axle. I've noticed that below 2000 rpms its a really deep bass tone that gives me a headache but above 2000 rpms its got a nice gurgle to it that makes it sound almost like a diesel. Also to after I did this my check engine light came on. I checked the codes and it came up with either a P1038 or P0141 I cant remember. I was able to clear the code but it just came right back. The code is for the oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 2 the one right after the cat. Idk if its related to my setup or not

I did the same thing. Too loud. Couldn't hear anything but exhaust. It was fun for playing around but got old quick.

Yea its starting to get old for me too. I need to get it fixed ASAP. I do like the gurgling sound above 2000 but to me its not worth the headaches I get from the deep bass below 2000. Also to the looks I get from ricers and fullsizes are priceless lol

This is how mine is, I used to have turn down but it was annoying.... This looks better and sounds better, not resonated tip but if you get one it makes the 4.0 sound even more amaing.

I had a turn down right after my muffler for a little while.... Bad idea. It was cool for a day.... But then It got annoying real fast haha. Also i discovered that after extended periods of driving it would get the rear axle and gas tank really hot. So I had a new tail pipe installed...
