Default Turbo on my 89 XJ?

i habe a stock 89 xj limited, inline 6, 4.0 L. i just ordered a turbo kit but i was wondering, do i have to get a new crankshaft, camshaft, etc or can i use all those stock parts? i was planning on putting just 6 psi of boost in it.

any help would be greatly appreciated!!

No. You can keep your stock long block. Those probably aren't the questions you should be asking though...

If its one of of those cheapo ebay specials don't waste your time.If its from a big name company that is known like boostwerks i would trust it.But before you do anything sit down and do the math on how much its gonna cost you in the end?Theres a point where a v8 swap makes more sence,HP pre dollar can be a evil thing sometimes.

Not sure if you're ordered it or not yet, because it's nearly impossible to translate your writing style. But it may be helpful for you to share a link to the "kit" you're looking at if you truly want advice. My guess is you never get close to doing something like this but please do attempt to entertain us. Also, I'd love to know how many miles are on the 4.0 you have now.

I'm curious as to what turbo it is also. Can we get the specs to how big or small the turbo is?

Ebay turbo kits are garbage, stay away.

Actually, that wouldn't be a huge concern.

How the heck can they build and tune it if they have to ask about it?
