NICE!

Looks like your rear axle is moving all over the place when you turn though. Have you considered a watts link or a panhard bar to keep it from moving side-side?

We noticed the side to side movement as well plus we are getting axle wrap under braking. It's on our list of things to improve.

I'm impressed! But I would suggest securing the seat to the cross bar, it looks like it's moving quite a bit with the G loads.

Post a pic of your TCU with the numbers. I have a bunch and will look up how to wire it for manual control with your stock selector.

New seats are our top priority right now. The driver’s seat is a crappy plastic drag seat and the passenger one stock and flops around all over the place. All our passengers have said they would like us to upgrade the seats or at least put an “Oh ****” handle in, lol. Apparently since we removed all the interior there is nothing to even hold onto on that side.

We’re looking at a few fixed back FIA approved racing seats. Our future goal is to build a lemons vehicle and would like to buy something we could use in both vehicles. Since our teammates vary in height we will have to use double lock sliders and can’t secure the seat to the cross bar or roll cage.

Sure, next time I’m over at the garage I’ll take a look. We thought about running switches for each gear since we are in second most of the time but were afraid we might flip or bump the wrong one in the middle of racing. Maybe a simple 1-2 switch that would be disabled when the shifter is in 3rd might work but would be active again when shifted back into 1-2? There would still be a chance of shifted down from 1st to 3rd. Anyway I know you have much more experience with this and I’m open to suggestions.

Can make the stock shift lever do the selection and lock it in gear.
1-2 is 1st gear
3 is 2nd gear
and D is 3rd gear

Do you ever need 4th gear?
Do you use 2nd gear for the whole autocross?

That could work. I don't think we are shifting into 4th when we drag race but are pretty close. Could we add a 4th gear toggle when D?

Depending on the course we are in second most of the time. Some of the faster ones we might need to shift into 3rd.

Glad you guys like the XJ-R. We’ve received a lot more positive feedback to the Jeep then we ever thought we would.

It’s currently being voted on for the July Cherokee of the Month so if you like it please vote it up!

Thanks, it’s the closest racing livery we could think of other then the Archer Brothers Comanche.
