They are very helpful if you call them, they may be able to see if they can work something out for you. They've been great with me every time I've called.

Think these would be a good choice to depend on for the trip? ps i do not need any input on why my jeep is eating the tires. the rear end and the front end are 3 inches off square when measuring from lower ball joint to shock mount in the rear.??? It has a salvage title so who knows
I've put more miles than that on mine since Ive had them, and not a single issue, in fact I love them. I would highly recommend them.

Sorry to go off-topic, but...MT/R's arent mud tires. The MT stands for MAximum Traction and the R stands for Reinforced Sidewall. They actually do waaaayyy better on rocks and dirt than in mud. just for future reference.

For those that have used treadwright tires have any of you used the Ultra Grip version? If so was it worth the extra cash?

I just ordered 5 MTR lookalikes in 285/75 r 16 (33's). I go through tires too fast, its not worth it to buy name brand.

Well I am sitting on a waiting list for 31x10.50-15 MT-G's atm. I talked to Joel out there and they purchased a second machine to make the MT-G's since they can't keep up with the demand. I have a feeling as the economy goes further south more folks will be buying retreads for their rigs. I could buy 10 retreads for what it would cost me to buy 4-5 non retreads in the 31's..I may get a set of the BFG AT style retreads with the Ultra Grip come next winter.

31x10.50x15 mt's. did pretty good in the mud, seemed to be really heavy. just took them off for some 33x12.5 mickey thompson baja claws and they seemed to be the exact same weight as them. no drivability issues though. Was actually going to go with some 33" retreads but i got these baja claws for the same price and they only had 1000 miles on them so i couldnt pass them up

Does anyone know if treadwright is going to start making 33x12.50's again. I'd like to get some in the mt/r pattern. Also as far as ultra-grip tires go. A softer tread composition makes for more traction however, they will wear out faster. Great for the trail not for a DD.

Well it's been a little while since I sent my email to treadwrite but they did finally get back to me:

After some further review we have determined that we will not be able to off the 33x12.50R15 in the MTG tread design in the coming months. We will only continue to provide them on the D/Mud. Due to the difficulty we have in acquiring enough casings for this size tire it is very hard to get a matching set with 3 ply sidewalls. We are out of stock now and don’t expect more of this size tire for another 3-4 weeks. If I have any better news I can provide sooner I will let you know.

Thank you,

Joel

So I guess it's a no go on me getting the 33's I wanted... If anyone else is intrested in 33's from treadwrite feel free to send an email so we can maybe increase the demand so they'll get more avadent about making them.

Doesn't surprise me that they can't get enough 3 ply casings in that size. Heck they have a hard enough time getting ample supply on 31's in a 3ply casing. I talked to Joel a couple days after I got mine and he said they were having a hard time getting enough 31 in 3 ply to keep up. He said they won't alter their quality requirement of casings just to sell tires which I can honestly appreciate.
