to trade or not to trade
Nice try Chevy. I've been employed as an auto mechanic since 1993 and they have always had this problem. for every 10 pump jobs we do I'd say 6 will be Chevy's, 3 Ford and 1 Dodge. The japanese ones almost never go out. I think I've done 1 Toyota electric pump in 18 years and that was it. Chevy's are a guaranteed weekly event.

I worked at a few Dodge stores in the mid 90's, I replaced a lot of Dodge pumps under warranty. I work on a fleet that was mainly Chevy, did a lot of Chevy pumps. Now I work on a fleet of Chevy, Ford, and Chrysler products, Chevy still eat more pumps than the rest. I've only done a handful of Ford pumps in my 25 years of turning wrenches.
