Default Track Bar Relocation

I just put in a new track bar its a BDS relocation track bar. Does anyone have any exprience with these? After putting it on I have a lot of play in the front in when I hit bumps. Could this have anything to do with a front end alignment or is the relocation just a POS?

Where the track bar usually mounts by the front passenger tire under the axle it now mounts on top of the axle near the shock and still mounts in the same spot near the driver side front tire

Sounds like bump steer. Track bar and drag link need to be at the same angle with each other.

Your drag link and trac bar are no longer parallel. Your steering geometry is off, which will cause the bunp steer you mention.

Ok. How do I fix this? Would it be easier to just put the old track bar back on?

If I'm not mistaken and that track bar is adjustable, just take the relocation bracket off, and adjust it to center the axle.

Is that going to keep the trac bar and drag link parallel?

The pic may be deceiving me, but it looks like that may make things worse.

How high are you lifted? And why did you decide on a track bar relocation kit?

Probably wouldn't be perfect. But better. If it goes back in the stock location it looks like it'd be closer to parallel.

I think to make it perfect it would need a slight drop in the frame side mount.

What brand is that track bar? Is it BDS too?

Note: By parallel it's not the bar but the invisible line drawn between the 2 end points.

You can see the blue line (what you have now) is no where near parallel to the steering link. The two red lines is more of what you want.

Experts, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah its BDS as well. It seems to me its just gonna be easier to put the stock one on and buy a new track bar that fits in the original position?
