I mean, think about it... When you lift the body and the trac bar does what it's supposed to do then the body is going to travel on an upward arc. It HAS to be off center... Unless something was bent and it was off center to begin with.

I'm not disagreeing with anyone on this issue, but all xjs are different especially if they have had a front end collision. My 94 is lifted 3in and stock trackbar I never even unbolted it when I installed the lift and its dead center front end is mostly newer super swampers wear even and perfect. Now my 2000 xj has same lift but had to install a adj. Trackbar cause it was off 2 inches to driver side but could of been from the front end collision from PO but who knows I've fought with it for 3months to get straight and rid of dw still has a small vibration but heck with it. It drives strait don't wear the tires anymore. This is just my 2 cents measure if its out more than a inch get a adj trackbar and have it aligned

ok... think about it.... one end connected to the frame, the other connected to the axle... as a matter of fact, ignore the axle. One end connected to the frame. This thing is going to have a radius of swing, it does not slide straight up and down. This is real, real simple, common sense. It is NOT theoretical. Test it if you wish. tie a piece of string to something, pull it tight, keep it tight, and move it down... what happens? Radius. SO... if the track bars job is to keep the axle centered under the front of the vehicle, what happens when you move the axle away from the frame (don't care if it's a half inch away, or 8 inches away). It's going to swing out the drivers side. There is no getting around it. The only way it is going to be centered after lifting without relocating or adjusting it, is if it was sticking out the passenger side to begin with. And if that's the case, something was wrong.
