Default Trac bar fell out

Was pulling in Wal mart and I turned the wheel, heard a pop and the jeep wouldn't turn. I said several words that I wouldn't say in front of my mom and then got out to see my track bar in two pieces. Upon further inspection I realized it had popped off the treads. I just had the alinement done after adding coil spacers and and apparently when they centers the axle they ran the treads all the way out to the end. I'm glad it didn't happen wile going 65 down the road with my three kids in it. Let's just say I will be giving that shop a call first thing mon morning.

Sounds like you need a longer adjustable track bar.

Yea I do need a longer track bar. It was ment for a 5.5 in lift and I'm at around 8 now. I'm Savin up to completely re do my steering and track bar to a OTK system. Should have it in a month or so.

And if that happened at highway speed your XJ would most likely be totaled now or worse.
The tech should have known better and said he could not properly align it.

Yea I would have much rather he said he couldn't do anything with it than make it dangerous. I had all three of my kids in it. I threaded it back in quite a bit so I shouldn't have any probs now but I won't feel great about it till I get my new parts. I'm sure I can sell my rubicon stuff and get some money back.

The track bar I have now is a rubicon for a 5.5 in lift.
