I have a 1995 4L at cherokee sport. The ECU packed up, so I removed it and put a carburator on. engin running good but I have a problem with the gearbox and think the problem is with the TPS. The TPS is fitted and linked to the throttle. The violet and white wire from the ECU is not connected, where must the wire go?

When driving it shifts trough the gears fine, when I give more gas to pass another car, instead of going to third gear it goes in to over drive. The moment you release the throttle it kicks back to third. Please Ineed information.
