Rugged ridge tow hooks and brackets. Got mine off eBay for $65.

i went to the junkyard and pickup up some town hooks off of a 1 ton chevy. drilled some holes on the bottom of the unibody on the front and mounted them up. they work great with no issues.

yet... but lets hope it doesn't fail at the wrong moment. oh wait, if you're using it when it fails, then it is the wrong moment.

do it right and get the proper hook brackets or a proper recovery bumper.

I hardly think that I'll get my stock XJ stuck so bad that the recovery points that were a stock option (drilled in through the uni) will fail...

i have tested them out and they work but i use my rear bumper as a main recovery point and if that fails(which i dont think it will anytime soon) i will use the front hooks. they are there just incase all else fails. i have seen a lot of other people use them without issues
