Has anyone built a toolbox for the back of there xj? I am looking for ideas. I have a 10" sub and an amp and an assortment of tools, flashlights and tow straps. Pictures would be great.

Anyone ever tried using a "ratpack" its a tool box that normally bolts to the floor in the bed of a truck that has a long drawer that pulls out.

My company truck has one in it thats never used. Thought about seeing if they let me have it and put it in my xj. Only thing is I think the thing weighs ALOT since its all steel.

This the start of my box. I still need to cut the hole for my 10" kicker and paint the box.

Here is the box with the sub hooked up. Amp on the side and my ax on the other side. All I need now is to paint the box.

My toolbox is a 50cal ammo can filled to the brim... Holds a surprising amount of wrenches, ratchets, sockets, etc. Is easy to carry around, doesnt take up alot of room, waterproof/airtight and I feel that it doesnt say "hey, Im full of tools!" (though some people disagree.. lol).
Bigger or awkward stuff goes under the seat or in the back.

Actually I cut it up already. It was way to heavy. I did keep the section with the sub though.
