Default Too much power?

Anyone ran ~300 watts of additional lights on the stock alternator i have two wired and the volt gauge moves a little then holds steady where it should but I heard the stock alt. has kinda a low output and I don't wanna fry it just for extra lights when two is already blinding. The setup is 5-6" bajas converted to 55w h.i.d.

I would upgrade the poor factory battery/alternator wiring/grounds first.

I did a couple already when I was having weird voltage issues a while ago but I'm mostly worried about too high of a draw on the alternator and i really don't wanna spend a couple hundred bucks on a new one plus it looks like a pita to change. Has nobody added any additional lighting to there jeep?? The factory lights suck even with the harness upgrade

At the very least, then upgrade the alternator to something in the 135-160w range. I have lighting on mine as well as winch, air compressor, radios 1 50w & 1 200w and other items. Large rear mounted Hellas (2) for backup/work lights. You can see in my signature what I have for electrical the 160w alt is a rewound 135w amp.
