Default TJ intake might work for XJ

Has anyone tried a Spectre TJ intake (PN# 9943)? I'm not sure but it might work.

I just Emailed Spectre Tech about the question.

I love that set up and tried it last year. I took it out because it was kind of loud. I want to try putting it the filter on the passenger side to see if it cuts down on some of the noise. I like the inline filter idea and If I try it again I would use a inline filter.

Guy Smith from Spectre Performance emailed me back today. He stated the TJ intake will not fit a XJ but they have a new cold air intake (PN# 9948) that will be coming out in 60-90 days. I emailed him back to see if it's going to have a air come from the cowl like the TJ's.

I've been told that the factory intake is more than sufficient enough to suppy the needed air for the 4.0L.

From what I've learned, unless you are moving to a snorkel style setup, there isn't much of a reason to mess with the intake at all.

you can always use more air and we like this kit cause it drags air from passenger compartment not engine bay right behind headlight where water would be first to go...
