Tires?
So I am in a serious debate on what tires to get. I currently have BFG AT on there now and they are a "ok" tire. the problem is when i go wheeling they dont perform they way i want them to they just dont have enough bite. Anyways i was talking to a buddy and i asked him how he like his SS TSL radials when he had em on his jeep and he told me they were great and as long as you rotate em every oil change the wear shouldnt be to bad. Mind you my XJ is my DD but does see offroad every other weekend or so. im basically looking for a decent lasting tire that will perform offroad for a decent price. Any inputs? btw road noise is not a concern with me.

I had the tsl radials and thought they were horrid!
I run the federal couragia mt. I would honestly put them up against any tires out there for all around mud/rocks, dirt, grass, etc.....
entered a mud run with them. Most everyone else had boggers. I ended up winning my class. Nineteen drivers and the federals pulled off the win

Also here a pic of my bfg at. Sliced sidewall. 3/4 around the tire. Held air and wheeled it like this for 3 months. Then some nails on the road made it non repairable.
If the tire was a dura then would have been toasted when this slash happened since that tire has a weak side

For those of you who will defend them. While working at 4 wheel parts I saw 38 duracraps come in to get replaced due to blown out sidewalls. And I only worked there for 4 months!
13 super swampers
8 km2s
3 km1s
No Goodyear kevlars
No maxxis tires
For a all round good street/off road tire on the cheap check out the maxxis bighorn.
It's the lil cuz of my trepadors.
