Need tire suggestions...something with good tread...reasonable price...its gonna be mounted on a soft 8 15x7...the xj has stock suspension. But soon will have the rustys 3 inch on it...mostly gonna be easy trails and occasional snow... let me know what y'all think

I've looked at the tredwrights...but im not sure I want re treads...im prolly gonna stick with 30 9.5s..I don't want a wide tire like the 31 10.5

 

Do some research on reviews, they'll change your mind...I have 2 sets.

 

Yeah I did haha...I want a bit of room to flex and I don't want my sidewall bulging out...I have 15x7s...what do you think 30 9.5 or 31 10.5??

 

235-75-15 or 30-9.50-15 on stock suspension, stock size wheels, BFG AT TAs for all around performance.

I'm a believer in premium tires for the street. If you're gonna do a lot of offroad, muddin', rocky trails and such, maybe something else.

I had Uniroyal Laredos on my '86 F150 4wd and they were great for the first year. After that they must have gotten hard, because they would slip and slide on a wet road. I pulled 'em off and went with BFGs and they were still excellent 5 years later. I have Coopers on my '98 F150 2wd and they sucked from new. The OE Firestones were better at 72k when I replaced 'em!

I've had Goodyear Wranglers (OE), BFG Touring TAs, Firestone Destination LEs and now another set of Wranglers on my '96 XJ and the first (3) sets all went 50-53K each and still seemed to grip on a wet road despite old, worn tread.

 

37x15 R15 super swamper boggers should do the trick

 

Ill be on a 3 inch lift...so 235s wont cut it...im thinking 30 9.5

 

If you're gonna wait until AFTER you're lifted, go for 31-10.50-15. 30-9.50-15s may fit with stock suspension if its not sagging too much. You won't find much difference in price between 235-75, 30-9.50 and 31-10.50.

agree go atleast 30x9.50 and usually tire height is a little smaller than what they have on there not all 31x10.50 are exactly 31s

 

Like stated I would suggest treadwright if you like to save money. And I have heard nothing but good about them so I ordered from them and I have 5 sitting in my living room right now lol

 

when i bought my jeep it was bone stock and it had 30x9.5s and never rubbed on anything. if you lifting 3" and getting tires for the lift i would go with the 31x10.5s.

 

I realize that every jeep is different but check this out.....3" 31's and trimmed fenders.
