Rain they are great. Lots of deep water siping.

He doesn't get snow or ice so I guess he wouldn't know, he just gets real wet over them.

Another vote for the DuraTrac's. on my second set. The first ones lasted 3 years and like 50-60k with a lot of highway miles. Off road they're great, on road they're quiet and in snow they're insane.

for the people that suggest a mud tire, mud tires are terrible in the snow and ice.

the bfg at is a great all around tire. yeah people say its been around forever. but there is a reason that tire is still around after all these years.

just make sure you get the tires your are comfortable with.

Of course lol. The dude I was responding to said 'mud tire'. In my book, a mud tire is like a bogger, irok, pit bull, etc.

I didnt suggest any real mud tires. The KM2, MTR, MTZ, etc, are more along the lines of an aggressive all terrain in my book. They're good on daily driven rigs, even in snow. Even the Swamper Iroks I have on my truck are good in snow, I was running circles around guys on BFG Mall Terrains with them.

My vote also goes for the Duratracs. I'm running a set of 33x12.50's on my XJ and love them. Can't hear them at all on the road, heck my old BFG All Terrains were louder then the Duratracs. I like them so much that I just bought a set of Duratracs in a 225/75/16 stock size for my Wifes Libby. Best All around Tire ever made. Excellent in just about any terrain, pavement, snow, sand, mud, backwood trails, But they do only have a 2 ply side wall so that is a week point just need to be extra careful in the rocks and stumps is all. I wheel mine often and haven't had a problem busting a sidewall yet. So my vote is definitely Duratracs. Perfect for a weekend warrior that spends most it's life on the busy streets.
