Default tire on roof

I see tires on the roof using straps how are they running the straps and what are they mounting them on any pics.

My buddy has a 35 on his roof...Just strapped it to the factory roof rack. his trucks a beater so he doesnt care but it messes your roof up pretty bad if you are putting it directly onto the roof panel

Fortunately most Jeeps still have those rubber trim rails running the length of the roof, to protect against such things...for the most part.

I have mine strapped to my roof rack (see link in sig) works perfect. Even When I rolled my jeep over it stayed

i had mine on a rack but i wont run it up there any more. trying to get a 100lbs BFG MT off the roof SUCKS

Had mine like this for a while. Just cargo straps wrapped around it in a basket on the roof. x2 on the above though . . . I took it down and put back inside the Jeep because getting it off the roof was PITA when you needed it.

I love seeing tires on the roof.. means you never had to change it on the trail.. same goes for hi lifts mounted to the side of roof baskets

you mean like this?

I use my high lift all the time. I built special mounts for it so it can be removed in less than 3 minutes.

and my tire is ratchet strapped down.

(ignore the duck tape I am having to gorilla glue my gutter trim piece back on since the clips down work after I rolled it..)
