Yeah, they kind of dropped the ball on that one. Most the XJ's I wheel with came with nothing to hook onto up front. I have strapped onto front axles more than I would like...

Check my thread called recovery. You'll reads out the gear you'll need. Shackles straps etc. Go for hooks upfront and hitch in rear (depending the bumpers you get)
